Some of these devices may ship with one version of Corel® WinDVD®, while the rest arrive with a later version of the software. The customer wants one version for the desktop image, but cannot standardize across the 2,000 devices without purchasing volume licensing. Meanwhile the devices are only licensed for the version that’s installed on them.

The Premium option is the right choice for customers who want to standardize all their devices on one WinDVD build without being tied to the hardware. This option provides perpetual licenses that can be transferred among devices and remain with the enterprise even after the devices are retired. What about re-imaging?
In the past, WinDVD OEM licenses didn’t include re-imaging rights. These OEM licenses had to be physically reloaded on each device separately. This wasn’t an effective solution for enterprise customers who needed to centrally manage their licenses. HP and Corel have recognized this need and now provide full re-imaging rights for HP customers.
